I am glad for many things..

I am glad for many things, many things, many things,
I am glad for many things, that are mine today!
Thank you, thank you my heart sings, my heart sings, my heart sings,
Thank you for the many things, that are mine today!
We learned that song in primary, and it has been in my head ever since!
Here are some random things I am "GLAD" for...

I am GLAD to be me, yes, the ever psycho ME!

I am so GLAD (thankful) to Max Hall for the amazing game he played
for the Utes! It is so great to have the Lord bless our players
on and off the field, right Austin Collie?

And today, like everyday, I am GLAD for that handsome,
oh so deluctable-I-wanna-Smooch-ya, face!
I get to kiss him, and you don't! Neener Neener Neener!

I truly am "Glad for Many Things" this Thanksgiving. I am glad for my family, the gospel, my hubby, my home, the food I eat, the clothes I wear, the body I have, the beautiful mountains we live by, and lots of little things like the christmas movies we watched yesterday, my toenail polish (thanks Whitters), Fruit snacks, the zit that popped perfectly yesterday.. ok now I'm getting silly, but you get the point! I am glad for MANY things!

Halloween

So we dressed up as Polygamists this year...

(I look like I am 12 years old!!)
I thought it was absolutely hilarious... and so did Brett, I mean
Roy. That is what he went by.. My name was Christine Anne.
We went to the annual halloween party that Jess and Andy throw, and
everyone dressed up so well, and every costume
was so darn funny! I forgot to take pictures of everyone else's costumes,
but they were great. Brett and I are a little bitter we didn't win the contest. whatever.
So I enjoyed this costume for about twenty minutes, and I thought it was a really good idea, then
all the other couples showed up all dolled up and cute, and suddenly I felt really nasty and homely. My face was all dry and flaky. Ya, I felt so pretty! After awhile, it wasn't so much fun being a polyg. But the party was a blast!

Seriously, check out my shoes.... So great!
Brett looks like such a creeper..

Heather, my sis-in-law, mastered the swoop and the braids!
She is so talented...Thanks again Heath!

Brett kept referring to me as his Friday wife. Nice.

Creeper!!

My Sweet Sister..

This is my sweet sister, Amy. She threw a party, and dressed
like the joker. Look at that awesome make-up! My parent's neighbor
is a very talented make-up artist, and somehow turned my sister into
a freak. A bunch of kids in the neighborhood were daring to walk by her,
and Amy ran after one and freaked him out so bad he didn't even
make it on his bike, so he jumped off, leaving it in the middle of the street, and
started running down the street, screaming. Poor child.

Oh, I am in love with him!

thanks for making me laugh in the morning.

You can dance and sing anytime!

Delilah and Bob Neilson

for some reason, delilah on kosy 106.5 and bob neilson on fm 100, make me so happy... i first started listening to delilah around christmas time with my sister amy. in fact, we had it non-stop playing in our rooms all day, and all night in december. i listen to her while i am driving home from school these days, cause she only comes on at night, and whatever she tells her listeners to do, i do it. "go home and relax with that special person you love, cuddle up to that person, and just enjoy it." i'll do that delilah. thank you.

bob neilson has the same kind of voice. i was driving with my mom the other day, and i said i wish i could just go to the studio and listen to his voice all day. i think the christmas thing has a little to do with it, but nothing is more calming than a good song on fm 100 and then listening to bob talk about it. go bob. you rock.

i can't wait for christmas music to start on november the first. i know most people say not until after thanksgiving, but i love it. l.o.v.e. it! brett won't listen to it, but i sure as heck will. sorry babe.

Weekend Recap...

This last weekend was a good one. We enjoyed dinner and a movie with Colby, Linds and most important, Caylin, on Friday night. Gotta love Cancun Cafe. Saturday I was so excited! I got out of class early because my teacher was sick, thank heaven! whoops! We went to the U game that started at noon, so if I wouldn't have gotten out early, I wouldn't have enjoyed very much of the game. It was a blow-out.. but fun! GO UTES!!

Then, best of all, we got to help tend this little bugger. We picked Tarbug up from her Grandma Margo and put her in our car, and she fell asleep about five minutes after that! I told Brett it was meant to be, our car is so comfortable that a baby can sleep in it, so that in turn means we should have a baby, right? Perfect reasoning in my opinion!

She is so dang adorable! Love her.

Sheep Brain

i dissected a sheep's brain yesterday. i held it, cut it up and looked at all the gray and white matter, the cortex, the midbrain, the pons, the medulla oblongata. i cut up the cerebellum and saw the arbor vitae and the cortex of that. so awesome. but the entire time, all I could think about was how it felt just like a hard-boiled egg. yummy. bet you'll never eat one of those the same. sorry.

Mr. Brett Russell Healey,
I sure love you my dear. Thank you for being
so darn patient with me, always. I promise one
day I will grow up. After all, you were the one who married
me when I was only 19 young years of age sir.

Until that day, the day when I decide to grow up, and act
"old enough to be married", I will continue to be who I am
today. Deal with it my love. Just deal with it.
I love you my Brett. I always will. Forever. And ever.
Love, L
And just to throw in the hottest picture of the man
who decided to take me, Lisa, apparently the biggest burden
known to mankind, on!
Thank you.

ps My husband is hotter than yours!!

GO UTES!!!

How about that game against the Beavers? The Utes sure stepped up in the end but they sure looked crappy in the second half. After talking with Brett he asked if I would update our blog with some Utes stuff so I am. We always go to the games and they are so fun with Brett's whole family down in the northeast corner aka "Touchdown Corner" Look for us because last game Tyler, Brett's brother made some pretty sweet shirts for all the boys and of course Big T was making all the ladies in the house a bit hot with his sexy red and white striped overalls. Oh yeah BYU SUCKS

Random facts

The rules:

1. Link to person who has tagged you: Lindsey
2. Post the rules on your blog
3. Write 6 random things about yourself
4. Let each person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment

1. I have severe anxiety! I have since I was in probably seventh grade. I even had to have my nice neighbor give me a massage in 7th grade because I was so tense. I have an anxiety attack probably once every-other-day, and really should probably be on some meds for it. In fact, I had one today at work and had to have Brett calm me down. He is so great!

2. I take a bath almost every single night. My mom always does too, and so I thought it was just something women do, but apparently it's not. If I don't have a bath, I get homesick. Weird, I know. It just is one of those things.

3. Speaking of my mom, I talk to her probably three to four times a day, maybe even five if I don't get to see her that day. It can start as early as 7:30-ish, and ends around 10 sometimes. That is, after we both have our baths. But sometimes she goes to bed way early, and sometimes I go to bed way early, it just depends. I love my mom, and I'm just like her in a way. If I don't get to talk to her or see her as much as I do, I get really homesick. I guess I get homesick easily, but I always have been that way, so I don't feel weird about it.

4. I'm hypo or hyperglycemic. I guess I will find out which one this semester in one of my classes. But I get really really really shaky and psycho if I don't eat certain foods. I must have carbs, and I must have sugar. That is just all there is to it. Actually I'm sure it is a lot more complicated than that. In high school, it got really bad. But for awhile there, like right after we got married, I thought it went away, and then I just realized that it is probably because I tend to never let myself go hungry. In fact, I haven't felt hungry for a really long time. I like food, and that's just me!

5. I wrote in my journal every single day in junior high, and totally stopped when I got to high school. That is probably one of the most lame things I have ever done, but one of the very best! Junior high was weird and so was I, but I also have never been so faithful with reading scriptures and staying in-tune with the Spirit in my life. My sister-in-law Heather (Brett's sister, who practically raised brett, right Heath?) was my Y.W president during the time, and she is the one who got me to write in the journal. In fact, I wrote in my journal that if my mom ever died, I would want Heather to be my mom. Little did I know that she would be my sister someday.

6. I love to watch the news, and I love to watch the news anchors. Did you know Susan Wood and Terry Wood on ABC 4 are married? It makes sense because of the name, but I wasn't sure, and I wanted to know, so I emailed her. Yep, they are married, but her maiden name was also Wood. I don't like to listen about the economy and blah, even though I probably should. I really enjoy the weather, and the top stories. The little random stories right before the broadcast is over are good too.

I tag: Eve, Lisa, Stefi, Steph

Anatomy and Physiology..

I really do enjoy my anatomy class, and physiology for that matter. I think it is so fascinating to learn a little bit about the human body. The class is like learning a second language, but it is very interesting. Sometimes I leave class feeling so overwhelmed. I don't know how people do not believe in God. The human body is so incredible, I can't even imagine how Heavenly Father thought of every little detail. Taking this class is kind of a testimony builder in a way.. if that makes any sense. I know we were created by Heavenly Father, and I was one of those spirits and bodies he created! How lucky am I? If only there were no tests in my classes and I wasn't required a certain grade, I might enjoy them even more! Wish me luck on my test... and on the one next week, and the week after that! YIKES!

BLAH... and NEW CAR!!!!!

So we haven't had much to blog about lately... okay, we've had nothing to blog about. We are both working and in school at the moment. I'm taking Human anatomy and human physiology, and their labs, (which are three hours long) and it is killing me! Brett is taking one class similar to mine.. it's pretty much those two classes combined into one, without a lab! Lucky dog! We hardly have seen each other this last month, and I don't plan on seeing Brett much until December-ish. On top of the work and school load, Brett was just called as Elders Quorum Pres in our ward. We are both excited for this. I know Brett will do an awesome job!

Yesterday was an exciting day for us! We bought a new car! I especially am excited about this because I have been driving around with no air conditioning and no radio and a hanging muffler for the past month or so.. We did get the muffler fixed and we are now getting the other issues taken care of. But after that... my grandma has her car back for good! I don't think she'll be taken off anywhere anytime soon, but hey at least she will have it back. The new car is FABULOUS and so nice! I will post some pics later probably.. cause yes, I love it that much. We are debating about who is going to be driving what, but in the meantime, we are just enjoying the new ride.

Good Friends...

Friends..
Today I went to lunch with my friend's Stefi and Stephanie from highschool! I forgot to take a picture there, so this one is from awhile ago.. I loved seeing them and catching up on each others' lives. Thanks ladies for the fun lunch date! Hopefully I will see you sooner rather than later! Good luck at the Y! (excuse the picture of the picture)

Cancun, Mexico

Our trip to Cancun was amazing! Besides the airline trouble and staying in Dallas our first night and losing then finding my luggage at the end, I loved everything about it. We stayed at the GR Solaris, which is an all-inclusive resort, and ended up extending our trip one day because we didn't want to miss out on any of the fun we missed out on by staying in Dallas. The all-inclusive was definately the way to go down there! The food was awesome, especially the fresh guacamole every hour or so, the service and entertainment was so fun, and the room was very nice. The beach was of course incredible, and the water in the ocean was warmer than the water in the pool! We took the city bus downtown a couple of times, which was a little sketchy to be honest, but it was all part of the experience. Those bus-drivers are insane!! We also rented a little "mini" car and drove to Talum for the day. It was about a two-hour drive, and totally worth it! We saw the ruins and learned the significance of them and then cooled off by snorkeling at a local beach. We loved our trip, and can't wait to go back... someday!

This is me after the meltdown I had at the airport when I found out we had to stay in TEXAS-Brett was so nice to calm me down. I didn't take any pictures of our Texas stay, because frankly I was not in the mood, and there was nothing to take pictures of. Seriously. Texas is blah.

In Tulum, that guy is holding some nasty dog.
So weird

Our car was so tiny, but at least it had air-conditioning!

Getting ready to go out and see some sweet fish!

On our way downtown..

This girl sang for us, and then went up and

down the bus asking for money! So cute!

I saw this boy, and the other boys in the grocery

store and was very concerned about child labor.

I asked him how old he was, and he said 16.. there is

absolutely no way this kid is 16 years old.. maybe 10!

Brett worked so hard with the airlines and the hotel to extend
our stay. It was stressful, but well worth it!

The Chinese meal we had made by Mexicans..
not so good, but oh well. It was very fancy!

Brett's friend he made on the trip- We danced one night in the lobby with
a live band, and this guy and his girlfriend were so awesome,
I was wishing I had a video of it so bad!

The last morning, before we began the long trek home!
